An innovative hub where residual flows of fruits, vegetables and herbs are converted into semi-finished products.
HALF-BAKED was founded in 2024 and located at the Robin Food Hub, Dutch Fresh Port in Barendrecht. On a global scale, 1/3 of our food is lost. From a desire to do something about that, HALF-BAKED was born.
At Fruitful Ventures, we deal with residuals, especially fruit, for a variety of reasons. In the past, these residual flows were mostly taken to landfills. Now we use them as much as possible to make semi-finished products. These semi-finished products are used to make sustainable end products. What remains after production is turned into compost. This is how we're working towards our mission of promoting a circular economy and reducing residual flows.
